Car Accessories – What are the differences between the lamps?

There are basically three types of lights – the halogen, xenon, and the so-called Cool Blue. Among them, appear as main differences, light intensity and energy consumption. Know the characteristics of each type of lamp:

Halogen Lamp – has an internal filament made of tungsten metal, which emits light when receiving electric charge. The color is kind of light yellow, light bulbs and are more common to find in the market.

Xenon lamp – it has the xenon gas inside, which when in contact with electrical impulses coming from a specific reactor, ignites producing a high intensity light.

Cool Blue Lamp – is a halogen bulb with blue tone paint in the bulb (glass) to make the light whiter and brighter.

The choice should be made based on lamp performance. The whiter, the better the visibility it provides, ensuring greater driving safety. In this case, we can say that the xenon lamp is the one with the brighter light, followed by cool blue and finally, the halogen. Energy consumption is also an important factor to be assessed. Halogen lamps consume 60 to 100 watts of power, since the xenon bulbs consume about 35 watts. If this information is evaluated as a whole, the xenon lamp is the best, and for that very reason, are the most expensive. The cool blue lights are a slightly cheaper way to get a clearer light. It’s up to you to analyze the relationship of cost and benefit to make the right choice. And remember, regardless of which light is chosen, it is crucial that the focus and height adjustment for optimal performance and safety. So keep these factors also in mind when selecting lamps and other such car accessories.
